About Me

Madison Place Pattern Company came about because of my desire to publish the quilt patterns I had been designing for several years.

I had been an off and on quilter for many years.  It was in 2004 that I became a serious quilter.  Teaching, quilting, designing and entering quilt shows became a passion.  In 2006 I won my first ribbon on a quilt that I had designed.

Fast forward to 2010.  It is a cold wintery day in January.  I am cleaning out a file cabinet.  In the midst of unrelated items I find my early quilt patterns with notes on yardage and construction.  That is when the idea came to me to market these patterns.  That first year I sold them under the name of "My Best Quilts".  Thanks to my quilting friends and the employees of a local quilt shop, "The Quilt Sampler", my little business did well enough to continue.

In 2011 I changed the name of the business to Madison Place Pattern Company.  It seemed to sound more professional and much less egotistical.  This year I am taking it to the web.  It is now officially an internet mail order business.  I run the company from my quilt studio.  No storefront shop with yards and yards of beautiful fabric, just a 20' x 24' room with all the necessities for designing and quilting.

I am excited about this next step in my new adventure.  I hope you like my patterns and will come back often to see what is new here at Madison Place Pattern Company.  If you like my patterns please tell your friends and your favorite quilt shop to have a look at my web site.

Thanks for stoppin' by.  Y'all come back soon now.  Y'hear?
